Scott was a boerboel I took care of for a little over a year. Just because he wants to come out of the cage to play, he’ll fake being sick. Open the cage and he’ll start jumping around the compound. I find it funny every time 😂

As long as God keeps waking you up, he still has plans for you.

I spent today’s energy on more than one important project. I just want to sleep.

Reflecting on: "What conversation is still on your mind, and why?"

The conversation about where I’m going in life. I think it stays on my mind because I know I’m capable of more, and I don’t want to settle for where I am now. There are things I’m building, things I’m learning, and things I’m trusting God for. Sometimes the uncertainty is loud, but so is the conviction that I’m moving toward something meaningful. 🍃

Don’t sell your legacy for temporary comfort. Sometimes, we get so focused on making money, getting recognition, or chasing the next opportunity that we forget what we’re actually building. Not every opportunity is worth taking. Some things will pay you well but cost you your values. Some will give you attention but damage your reputation. Some will make you comfortable today but leave you with nothing meaningful to show for it tomorrow. Your name is part of what you’re building. So before you say yes to something, ask yourself: “Will I still be proud of this decision years from now?” Money can be made again. Opportunities can come again. But your integrity, reputation, and legacy are much harder to rebuild once they’re gone. Build something your future self will be proud of.

“You become a product of your environment.” The more I think about this, the more I realize how true it is. The people you spend time with, the conversations you have, the things you constantly consume, and even the standards around you slowly shape the way you think and behave. If you’re constantly around people who are learning, building, and challenging themselves, it becomes easier to do the same. But if you’re surrounded by negativity, excuses, and people who have stopped growing, you can easily start seeing those things as normal. That’s why your environment matters. Sometimes growth isn’t just about working harder. It’s also about being intentional about what and who you allow around you. Choose your environment wisely. It’s shaping you, whether you realize it or not.

One thing I’m learning is that you don’t always have to be right. Sometimes, someone else sees something you don’t. Sometimes, the feedback you don’t want to hear is exactly what you need to hear. Being open to learning and feedback doesn’t mean accepting every opinion people throw at you. It simply means being willing to listen, think about it, and ask yourself, “Is there something here I can learn from?” You’ll never know everything, no matter how good you become. So stay curious. Ask questions. Listen to people who know more than you. Take corrections without turning everything into an argument. You can be confident in what you know and still be open to learning something new.

Just a random thought... Life gets lighter when you spend less time asking, "Why don't I have this yet?" ...and a little more time saying, "I'm really thankful I have this." Gratitude doesn't solve every problem. It just reminds you that your whole life isn't a problem.

Someone out there is wishing they had the opportunity you're currently complaining about. That doesn't mean your struggles aren't real. It just means gratitude and ambition can exist in the same heart.

People tend to forget that every season has a job. Some seasons make you bloom, others quietly grow your roots. You need both.

A few hours ago, I was watching a Networking tutorial on YouTube, and it hit me just how different learning has become. Almost anything you want to learn is already out there. Programming, design, business, music, languages... someone has taken the time to teach it. University still has its place. The people you meet, the experiences you have, and the certificate you earn all matter. But real growth doesn't stop at graduation. The people who keep learning long after school are usually the ones who keep moving forward. Self-education isn't replacing formal education. It's becoming the habit that makes formal education even more valuable.

The last major conversation with someone who used to be a big part of my life. It's strange how a few words can stay with you for so long.

Reflecting on: "What are you avoiding, and what is the smallest honest step toward it?"

Overthinking. It's a slow poison and a burden. A solution is to stop trying to figure everything out. Sometimes you need to get out of your own head and to just do the next obvious thing. Take steps. ✌️

Imagine you get into an elevator. It's just you and a stranger. The ride is 30 seconds long. No phones. No music. No pretending to be busy. Do you: - Smile? - Say "Good morning"? - Stare at the floor? - Act like they're invisible? It's funny how 30 seconds can suddenly feel like forever. 😌

Sometimes we stay where we're not happy because we're afraid to leave. Other times we keep making life harder than it needs to be because we think that's how success works. Maybe neither is the answer. Don't settle. Don't struggle. Choose what helps you grow.

Growth doesn't always look busy. Sometimes it looks like this. 🌱 #growth #reflection #peace
